Ecclesiastes 10

"Because of laziness the building decays, and through idleness of hands the house leaks" (v18). As we build up our faith do not allow the spirit of laziness to ruin what you have started. And be careful to any unwanted behavior that can destroy our relationship with others.

God bless and happy new year.

God bless you all.

Ecclesiastes 8

"So I commended enjoyment, because a man has nothing better under the sun than to eat, drink and be merry; for this will remain with him in his labor all the days of his life which God gives him under the sun (v15). With Jesus there is fullness of joy, or else men will always look for food, shelter and people all the days of their lives unsatisfied.

God bless you.

Ecclesiastes 7

"Consider the work of God, for who can make straight what He has made crooked?" (V13). All have sinned and lived a crooked living, but only God can make our ways straight. Not in our own works nor our efforts, but by the Spirit of the Lord. Praise God for His grace and forgiveness.

God bless you.

Ecclesiastes 6

"All the labor of man is for his mouth and yet the soul is not satisfied" (v7). People are without contentment for the things present before his/her eyes. Ecclesiastes 5

"When you make a vow to God, do not delay to pay it; for He has no pleasure in fools. Pay what you have vowed" (v4). A broken promise is a mockery to God, and it brings Divine displeasure. We need to keep the spirit of the fear of God so we can fulfill God's plan through us.

God bless you.

Ecclesiastes 4

"Better a poor and wise youth, than an old and foolish king who will be admonished no more" (v13). The new but obedient Christians are far better than the old yet stubborn believers. The willing servants of the Lord rejoice in Him, and they will serve Him to all eternity.
Thank God for last night's success of our Christmas fellowship. God bless.

Ecclesiastes 2

"As it happens to the fool, it also happens to me, and why was I then more wise?" Then I said in my heart, "This also is vanity" (v15). The most learned of men who dies without Jesus Christ will perish equally in hell with the most ignorant man who is also without Christ in life. Praise God we have Christ in us.
God bess you .

Ecclesiastes 1

"What profit has a man from all his labor in which he toils under the sun?" (v3). Everything that he has will not satisfy his wants and the desires of his soul. His wealth cannot atone for his sins to save him from eternal judgment. Without Christ, he is nothing.

God bless you all.

Proverbs 31

"Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised" (v30). Not only applicable to women but also to men. Ancient Jewish rabbis believed that Lemuel (means, belong to God) was actually Solomon, and the mother here was Bathseba; but lack of biblical support. Whoever is he is not a big deal, what matters to God is the content of the message and our response.
God bless you all.

Proverbs 30

"Give me neither poverty nor riches, feed me with the food allotted to me, lest I be full and deny You, and say 'Who is the Lord?' Or lest I be poor and steal, and profane the name of my God." (v8,9). The idea of the proverb is to be content on what you have, lest we become foolish sinner.

God bless you all.

Proverbs 26

"Whoever digs a pit will fall into it, and he who rolls a stone will have it roll back on him" (v27). It means any dealing we make with others, good or bad, will return upon our own heads. If it is good, we shall be blessed in return; if bad, we shall fall into the evil things we did.

Proverbs 25

"Whoever has no rule over his own spirit, is like a city broken down without wall" (v28). If we cannot calm our anger and indignation in time of misunderstanding, peace will be easily robbed from our hearts. Our solution is to surrender all things to God, and ask Him to cause us to walk in all His way.

God bless you all.

Your personality will be revealed the way we think about other people.

God bless you.

Have a blessed day.

Proverbs 21

"Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty" (v5). Our goal should not only to be 'rich' in this world but also to be rich in the kingdom of God. Bible study, prayer, fellowship, and witnessing are essentials in good planning for our future home in heaven.

God bless you all.

Proverbs 20

"The spirit of a man is the lamp of the Lord, searching all the inner depths of his heart" (v27). Until we got born in spirit, we are in darkness; blind, careless, unreasonable, and mindless. Then the Spirit of Christ causes us to see our real condition before God. Praise the Lord!!!

It's a blessed day indeed!

Thursday, December 1, 2011

Proverbs 15

"The way of life winds UPWARD for the wise, that he may turn away from hell BELOW" (v24). That's why Christian needs to grow and move upward in the grace and knowledge of God, that he/she may leave the fire of hell behind. Move upward and grow fast, then we will be able see our Creator.

Proverbs 11

"There is one who scatters, yet increase more; and there is one who withholds more than is right, but it leads to poverty" (24). It means, when we scatter or share our blessings, God will bless us more. So v25 said, "The generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself." Therefore, our daily prayer should be, "Lord make me a blessing today in every aspect of my life, amen".
God bless you all.

He promised that none can be against us.

Psalm 133

Have a blessed day.

Monday, October 24, 2011

Psalm 132

Friday, October 21, 2011

Psalm 130

"If You, LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand. But there is forgiveness with You, that You may be feared" (v.3-4). In the Lord, let us put our trust and we will not be afraid nor confused.

God bless you all.

Psalm 123

Our Lord Jesus has taught us to look unto God in prayer as our Father in heaven. We desire grace and mercy from Him, hoping that He will grant our request till they come. Have a blessed day.

Psalm 122

To receive an invitation to go to the house of a great man is a great delight, much more an invitation to visit the house of the Great King. That's why the psalmist said, "I was glad when they said to me, Let us go into the house of the Lord" (v1).

As the nation of Israel celebrates the feast of tabernacle this week, let us continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

God bless you all.

Monday, October 10, 2011

Psalm 120

"Deliver my soul, O Lord from lying lips and from deceitful tongue" (v2). People who hates righteousness always forged false charges against others. But we should not be distressed because God is with us. God knows all things and He has a fiery portion for those who have false tongue.

God bless you all.

Psalm 119:137-176

The Law of God is the truth, it is our standard for holiness and the rule for happiness. But only obedience to Jesus Christ that we can be justified. Our prayer should always be, "Give me understanding and I shall live, for the righteousness of your testimonies is everlasting" (v144).

Have a blessed day and Yom Kippur to all.

Psalm 119:97-136

By meditation and obedience of God's Word we understand more than our teachers. "I understand more than the ancient because I keep your Law" (v100). The Bible is a more sure guide to heaven than any other ways because, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and light to my path" (v105).

God bless you all.

Psalm 119:1-48

The forgiveness of sins through Christ is the only source of man's inner peace. As the psalmist says, "How can a man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word" (v9). Our response should be, "Your word I have hidden in my heart that I might not sin against You"(11), and "Open my eyes that I may see wondrous things from Your Law"(18).

God bless you all.

Psalm 118

"The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief corner stone" (v22). Jesus is the cornerstone of God's kingdom, but ignored and rejected by billions of people. God bless you all.

In this psalm, the nations around the world are called to praise the Lord, a solemn call to recognize God's sovereign power. In the day of judgment, all Gentile nations and leaders will stand in God's presence to face His judgment. As for us, let us not stop praising God for giving us the priviledge to serve His majesty.
God bless you all.

God bless you all.

Psalm 106

The conduct of Isralites in Canaan, and God's response into it show that the way of sin is destructive. This psalm tells that one sinful act may lead people to commit many more. Satan who is the deceiver will do all things to ruin our lives. But God who is loving and merciful, is always willing to forgive our sins when we ask forgiveness for the sake of Christ's work at the cross.

35 But they mingled with the Gentiles
And learned their works;
36 They served their idols,
Which became a snare to them.

God bless you all.
