Psalm 108

This psalm begins with praise and concluded with prayer. His word is indeed established in eternity that no one can change. But we should not stop asking help and strength from the Lord because, "Through our God we will do valiantly, for it is He shall tread down our enemies" (13).

God bless you all.

Psalm 107

This psalm tells about the weakness and wretchedness of man, and the power and mercy of God. A true believer will treasure in his heart this psalm because "Whoever is wise will observe these things, and they will understand the lovingkindness of the Lord" (43). Give thanks to the Lord always, for His mercy endures forever.

God bless you all.

Psalm 106

The conduct of Isralites in Canaan, and God's response into it show that the way of sin is destructive. This psalm tells that one sinful act may lead people to commit many more. Satan who is the deceiver will do all things to ruin our lives. But God who is loving and merciful, is always willing to forgive our sins when we ask forgiveness for the sake of Christ's work at the cross.

35 But they mingled with the Gentiles
And learned their works;
36 They served their idols,
Which became a snare to them.

God bless you all.

Psalm 105

This psalm encourages us to seek the Lord; His strength and His face. By doing that, we need to know what happenned in the past, as the psalmist narrated the brief history of ancient Israel; from Abraham to Moses, understanding what God does want and doesn't want from His people. Therefore, let us continue seeking Him while living in this world till eternity.

God bless you all.

Psalm 104

Men enjoy the largest measure of God's kindness in this physical world, compare with other creatures, yet many are ungrateful and unthankful. In spiritual aspect, men were given an ability to respond from God's call but many are insensitive and cruel to their Creator. But for God's children, "I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live, I will sing praise to my God while I have my being" (v33).

God bless you all.

Psalm 103

This psalm tells the special benefits that we have as children of God; we are forgiven, we are healed, we are redeemed, we are crowned, and we are satisfied (vv3-5). Therefore, bless the Lord and DO NOT forget these benefits. The unbelievers do not have these, so when problems and disasters struck, they have nothing to receive from the Lord. Praise God our Father, for His mercy is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him.

God bless you all.

Psalm 102

We are dying creatures, but God is an everlasting God. When we consider our own condition we have cause to fear and thank God for the assurance of salvation He has advocated. "This will be written for the generation to come, that a people yet to created may praise the Lord" (18). Redemption must be the subject of praise in our lives and church.

God bless you all.

Psalm 101

This psalm shows us the attitude of a true and God-fearing servant in managing God's kingdom including his household, ministy, community and self. "I will set nothing wicked before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away, it shall not cling to me" (v3). It means we should be more concern to set a good example of ruling ourselves, resolving to practice no evil whatsoever...

God bless you all.

Psalm 99

‎"The Lord reigns, let the people tremble!" The Lord governs the world by His providence, and the church by His grace. As God's people, let us not stop seeking His mercy; the more we humble ourselves before Him, the more we exalt Him. And while we "exalt the Lord our God and worship at His holy hill" (v9), let us never forget that God is holy.

God bless you all.

Psalm 98

Christians with new hearts sing a new song, very different from what they had sung in the past. Let these new songs be sung to the praise of our Redeemer. "The Lord has made known His salvation and His righteousness in the sight of the nations" (v2). Thanks be to God for causing us to call Him and trust His name.

3 He has remembered His mercy and His faithfulness to the house of Israel;
All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

God bless you.

Psalm 97

The faithful servants of God have the reasons to rejoice and be glad. Care is taken for our safety; the Lord preserves the souls of His people from sins, despair, backsliding, and even in greatest trials. Therefore, let the earth rejoice, let the multitude of isles be glad, because the Lord reigns.

12 Rejoice in the LORD, you righteous,
And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.

God bless you all.

Psalm 92

Let us give thanks to God every morning and every night, in going out and coming in. He makes us glad through the works of His providence for us. "A senseless man does not know, nor does a fool understand this" (v6). But the believers "shall flourish in the courts of the Lord."
Thank you LORD JESUS for your love and mercies to the small community of believers New York.
God bless

Psalm 91

Great security is promised to anyone who will trust in the Lord. If we made Jesus our Lord and Savior, "Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence" (v2). He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords! We have no reason to fear from Satan's attack; like hunger, sicknesses, our future, etc. Whatever happens in this world, we are secured under the shadow of the Almighty, by the holy blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.

5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.

God bless you all.
