Psalm 137

"If I forget you O Jerusalem let my right hand forget its skill... let my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth" (v5,6). Jerusalem is the only city that is called city of God, city of peace, and the city where Jesus the Messiah will reign in eternity. Let's continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Have a blessed day.

Psalm 133

"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity" (v1). The unity is the fruit of the Spirit, the proof of our complete personal union with Jesus Christ. We are united in our church because of the holy anointing of God, and without it, we will be disarrayed.

Have a blessed day.

Psalm 132

When work is to be done for the Lord, it is good to tie ourselves with His providence because we don't know what will happen during the day. So before doing anything, "Let us go into His tabernacle; let us worship at His footstool" (v7). His protection will be upon us and His divine anointing will not depart from us.

Have a blessed day.

Psalm 130

"If You, LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand. But there is forgiveness with You, that You may be feared" (v.3-4). Until we admit the guilt of sin, and quit all of these and come to God, there is no comfort and complete joy in our souls. But thanks be to Jesus who justified and cleared us from our misconducts.

God bless you all.

Psalm 129

The enemies have tried to wear out the people of God, but they had been always graciously delivered by the Lord. "The Lord is rigtheous, He has cut in pieces the cords of the wicked" (v4). As God's people we will always prevail and victorious amidst the trials and struggles. Because His blessings is upon us, so let us be thankful to God.

God bless you all.

Psalm 128

If you live a holy life, you are truly happy because, "Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in His ways" (v1). By the blessing of God, the godly shall get an honest livelihood, and shall have all the good things God has promised.

God bless you all.

Psalm 127

"Unless the Lord builds the house, the labor of the builder is wasted. Unless the Lord protects a
city, guarding it with sentries will do no good" (v1-NLT). In all the affairs and concern of our family and community (children, ministries, relationship) we must depend upon God's grace and blessings. Our care must be to keep ourselves in the love of our Lord Jesus.

Have a blessed day.

Psalm 125

"Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion which cannot be moved but abides forever" (v1). If our minds shall be truly stayed on God, we shall be safe from any troubles. The grace of God shall abide, and we shall be supported by His providence forever. No one can remove us from His hand because we stand firm like this mountain.

God bless you all.

Psalm 124

The enemies always lay snares for God's people to bring us to sin and trouble, and to hold us there. Thanks be to God, "If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men rose against us, they would have swallowed us alive" (v2). In the Lord, let us put our trust and we will not be afraid nor confused.

God bless you all.

Psalm 123

Our Lord Jesus has taught us to look unto God in prayer as our Father in heaven. We desire grace and mercy from Him, hoping that He will grant our request till they come. As the psalmist said, "Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters, as the eyed of a maid to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God until He has mercy on us" (v2).

Have a blessed day.

Psalm 122

To receive an invitation to go to the house of a great man is a great delight, much more an invitation to visit the house of the Great King. That's why the psalmist said, "I was glad when they said to me, Let us go into the house of the Lord" (v1).

As the nation of Israel celebrates the feast of tabernacle this week, let us continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

God bless you all.

Psalm 120

"Deliver my soul, O Lord from lying lips and from deceitful tongue" (v2). People who hates righteousness always forged false charges against others. But we should not be distressed because God is with us. God knows all things and He has a fiery portion for those who have false tongue.

God bless you all.

Psalm 119:137-176

The Law of God is the truth, it is our standard for holiness and the rule for happiness. But only obedience to Jesus Christ that we can be justified. Our prayer should always be, "Give me understanding and I shall live, for the righteousness of your testimonies is everlasting" (v144).

Have a blessed day and Yom Kippur to all.

Psalm 119:97-136

By meditation and obedience of God's Word we understand more than our teachers. "I understand more than the ancient because I keep your Law" (v100). The Bible is a more sure guide to heaven than any other ways because, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and light to my path" (v105).

Have a blessed day.

Psalm 119:49-96

True believers take the Lord for the portion of their inheritance and nothing less shall satisfy them. "You are my portion O Lord, I have said that I would keep Your words" (v57). We should be more earnest in prayer and always ask God to, "Teach me good judgment and knowledge, for I believe Your commandments" (v66).

God bless you all.

Psalm 119:1-48

The forgiveness of sins through Christ is the only source of man's inner peace. As the psalmist says, "How can a man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word" (v9). Our response should be, "Your word I have hidden in my heart that I might not sin against You"(11), and "Open my eyes that I may see wondrous things from Your Law"(18).

God bless you all.

Psalm 118

"The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief corner stone" (v22). Jesus is the cornerstone of God's kingdom, but ignored and rejected by billions of people. But as for us, praise our Lord, because everyday is the day of salvation w/c the Lord has made, so let us rejoice and be glad in it.

God bless you all.

In this psalm, the nations around the world are called to praise the Lord, a solemn call to recognize God's sovereign power. In the day of judgment, all Gentile nations and leaders will stand in God's presence to face His judgment. As for us, let us not stop praising God for giving us the priviledge to serve His majesty.
God bless you all.
