1 Thessalonians 1

The gospel of Jesus is not only in words, but also with power to transform the life of a person, with full assurance of the Holy Spirit. Unless the Spirit of God comes with the word of God, the Bible is just like an ordinary book to us. Wherever there is a true faith, it will work; it will affect both the heart and life. The true followers of the gospel turned away from their carnal desires and connection with immoral people... Reading: 1 Thes. 1. God bless. PF

Colossians 4

No duties can be done properly unless we persevere in prayer, with thanksgiving in the heart. The Christians are to pray particularly for their ministers (v2). We are exhorted to be careful in our speeches with men, and do good things. It is a great comfort to have fellow Christians caring for us in time of troubles and difficulties in life. As fellow-servants, let us work out together and promote the salvation of others... Reading: Col. 4. God bless PF

Colossians 3

As heaven and earth are contrary one to the other, both cannot be followed together; and affection to the one will weaken the affection to the other. The true born again Christians are dead to sin, and our connection with the world is already broken. It is our duty to cut off our sinful desires as weeds in the backyard, because if we will not kill them, they will kill us. We should not separate our privileges from God and duties to God... Colossians 2

Our souls prosper if we have clear knowledge of truth in Jesus, but become stagnant and legalists if ignorant of His word. The stronger our faith is, the more our comfort will be. Be aware of those who would entice you to any evil things, for they aim to spoil your faith by the false disguises and fair appearances of evil principles and wicked practices. We cannot be built up in Christ unless we are first rooted in His word... Reading: Col. 2. God bless PF

Colossians 1

Christ in his human nature, is the image of the invisible God. He was begotten before any creature was made. All things are created by His word, and were created for His own pleasure and glory. It means that you and me are created by Jesus for His own purpose. The fulness of all things dwells in Him, and it pleased God to reconcile fallen man to Himself. If God's love is so great to us, let us live no more to ourselves but for Christ... Reading: Col. 1. God bless. PF

Philippians 4

The joy of the Lord is the great result in the Christian life, but there is care of fear and distrust that perplex our mind. The remedy is constant prayer, with thanksgivings and supplications. The peace of God will keep our minds relax, and save us from sinking under troubles. Let us walk in all the ways of Christian virtue, and keep us close to our ministry to God. Let us look upon God under all our weakness as a loving Father... Reading: Phil 4. God bless. PF

Philippians 3

The work of religion is to no purpose, it has no power to transform man's heart. Paul has no confidence in the flesh, for the things which he counted gain while in his former life; like wealth, education, power, experience, connection, etc. are deemed but loss compared with the excellencies of the knowledge of Christ, by faith in his person and salvation. Achievements are nothing to God, unless it was directed by the Holy Spirit... Reading: Phil. 3. God bless. PF

Philippians 2

Christ came to humble us, and take the spirit of pride out from us. We must be severe upon our own faults, and quick to see our own defects, but ready to extend grace for others. Jesus is God but made himself of no reputation, and His life was a life of poverty and suffering, till death at the cross. But He was exalted and was given the name that is above all names. It is to the glory of the Father to make Jesus the Lord of all... Reading: Phil 2. God bless. PF

Philippians 1

God started the good work of salvation in us, and it will be perfected until the appearance of the Lord Jesus. Trials and sufferings are part of the process, so be confident that God will continue to perform His good works in our lives. Grow in love and knowledge of God, so that you may see and approve the things that are excellent. Be sincere and honest in serving God, for some are doing it for personal gain... Reading: Phil. 1. Ephesians 6

Spiritual strength is needed for our spiritual warfare and struggles. To win the battles, we should put on the whole armor of God, which Christ prepares and bestows for us. Armors has to be worn daily, and the combat is not against human enemies but invisible evil forces of darkness. The devils assault our souls trying to deface the image of Christ in us. We are the children of the Most High God, so be on guard always... Reading: Eph. 6. God bless. PF

Ephesians 5

Because God has forgiven us, let us be followers of Christ and imitators of God. This could be done through sacrificial obedience to God's works with purity, honesty, and simplicity. Let us shun the evil works of darkness, and do not speak lies as some people become their habit, but speak with grace and spiritual words giving thanks always to our God. Finally, let us submit to one another in the fear of the Lord... Reading: Eph. 5. God bless. PF

Ephesians 4

There is one Christ in whom all believers hope, so we should be of one heart, one faith in Christ, and one nature. We all believed the same as to the great truths of faith, all been admitted into the church by one baptism, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, as the sign of regeneration. In all believers God the Father dwells, as in His holy temple, by His Spirit and special grace... Reading: Eph. 4. God bless. PF

Ephesians 3

The gospel is a great mystery, hidden in the past but revealed in our era (the dispensation of grace), that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs of the same body and partakers of the promise in Christ. All things offer by the gospel come from the rich grace of God; forgiveness, love, sonship, etc. For those who had been chosen, God makes them humble, even to become the least of all, so that Jesus may be exalted in our lives... Ephesians 2

Our past was total darkness, we were outsiders on God's covenant with His people, no Messiah, no hope, no God in this world. But praises be to God, by the blood sacrifice made by Jesus, the walls of wrath and alienation that separates us from God has been knocked down. We are no longer strangers but partakers of all the promises by grace through faith in Christ Jesus. We are now the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit... Reading: Ephesians 2. God bless. PF

Ephesians 1

Spiritual and heavenly blessings are the best blessings, and without such we will always be miserable. God reveals to us the mystery of His sovereign will, and the way of salvation. This is God's choice for us even before the foundation of the world, that Christians should be made holy by separation from sin and worldly people, sanctified by the Holy Spirit. The believer's action and words declare the praise of God's mercy... Reading: Eph. 1. God bless. PF

Galatians 6

Fulfilling the law of Christ is to bear one another's burdens; both physical and spiritual burden. If we don't feel the burden, it means we don't have the Lord's burden in our hearts. Our present time is seed time, and there are two types of sowing, flesh and Spirit, to be reaped on Judgment Day. Sensual and carnal living means fire in hell, Spiritual living means life everlasting in Christ. So let us watch and guard our brethren... Reading: Galatians 6. God bless PF

Galatians 5

Christian liberty means freedom from sin, freedom to serve God and brethren. We were once slaves of Satan doing anything we want that is contrary to the will of God; but now we have been set free. It is dangerous to spread any destructive doctrinal errors, for they will face the judgment of God. The gospel is a doctrine of godliness, so let us walk in the Spirit of God to avoid the evil call of this world... Reading: Galatians 5. God bless. Ptr. Ferdie

Galatians 3

The purpose of the law is not to save men from their sins, but to point men to the coming Messiah, who will be the Savior of the world. Then the Messiah will justify them for failing to obey the requirements of the law. Thus, men will be forgiven and redeemed from the curse and heavy requirements of the law. Praise God for the saving work of Jesus... Reading: Galatians 3. God bless. PF

Galatians 4

God the Father sends His Son into the world to redeem and save us; and the Holy Spirit to dwell in our hearts. Although by nature children of wrath, we become children of love and partake of the nature of the children of God. Thank you Lord! Our prayer is that, may the temper and conduct of sons ever show our adoption; and may the Holy Spirit witness with our spirits that we are children and heirs of God... Galatians 2

Peter's withdrawal from the Gentiles while eating was an offense to the believers, that he did not live up the principle of the gospel in which he taught. Paul reproved him because he knew that the Gentile brethren who are weak in faith might be discouraged. Paul speaks of the great foundation doctrine of the gospel, that Christ is the end of the law, and all men are justified not by works of the law but by faith in Christ... Reading: Galatians 2. Galatians 1

Our appointment to be God's servant is from God Himself, and the proof is our humility and 100% unity into the body of Christ, the Church. God gave us grace, and peace with fellow men is the result of this. Those who would establish other way than what the gospel of Christ reveals will find themselves accursed. Such false gospels are from Satan that leads men to self-righteous pride and worldly lust... 2 Corinthians 13

Christ at His crucifixion appeared as a weak and helpless man, but his life and resurrection showed his Divine power. The Christians are the same, we may appear weak and poor, but in the eyes of God we are victorious and rich through Christ. Let us examine our own souls, either we are true Christians or deceivers. The most desirable thing we can ask of God for ourselves is to be kept from sin, that we may not do evil... Reading: 2 Cor. 13. God bless. PF

2 Corinthians 12

Troubles, a thorn in the flesh, are sent to teach us to pray, and not to rely in our own strength. Though God accepts the prayer of faith, yet He does not always give what is asked for, but He gives sufficient grace to enlighten and strengthen us in all distresses and afflictions. When we feel that we are weak, then we go to Christ, because His strength is made perfect in our weakness. Christ is the answer for every malady... Reading: 2 Cor. 12. God bless. PF

2 Corinthians 11

The apostle desired to preserve the Corinthians from being corrupted by the false apostles. There is but one Jesus, one Spirit, and one gospel, but Satan will do his best to deceive many and send his servants to preach another Jesus and distort the true gospel of Christ. But the end will discover those who are deceitful workers and will end in ruin... Reading: 2 Cor. 11. God bless. PF

2 Corinthians 10

The work of the ministry is a spiritual warfare with spiritual enemies, and for spiritual purposes. Outward force is not our method, but strong persuasions, by the power of truth and the meekness of wisdom. Thus the weapons of our warfare are very powerful. Some said that Paul was mean and unkind, but this was a false judgment by the enemies of the gospel and carnal people. Remember that God looks at the heart... Reading: 2 Cor. 10. God bless. PF

2 Corinthians 9

Works of charity should be done freely and cheerfully, not grudgingly. As we share, it tends to prosperity; as we hold back, it tends to poverty. Can a man lose by doing something which God is pleased? God is able to make all grace abound towards us. He can make us to have enough in all things; and to be content with what we have. Let us endeavor to copy the example of Christ, being unwearied in doing good... 2 Corinthians 8

All we give for charitable uses will not be accepted of God unless we first give ourselves to the Lord. By ascribing all good works to the grace of God, we not only glorifying Him, but also showing men the source of our strength. Abundant spiritual joy enlarges men's hearts in the work and labor of love. Faith is the root of all, so those who abound in faith, will abound in grace and help those who are in need...
